Prof. Dr. Luqman Chuah Bin Abdullah

Profile
Professor Dr. Luqman Chuah Abdullah is currently Professor from Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). He obtained his B.E. degree in Chemical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and PhD degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. His research areas include chemical processing, material engineering, oleochemical and environmental engineering. He has developed a strong research network with research institutions, such as The Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB), the Malaysian Nuclear Agency, the Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM), the Malaysia Rubber Board (MRB), Malaysia Timber Industry Board (MTIB) and other higher educational institutions. He was also involved in an international kenaf commercialization project which is incorporated with CFC-UNIDO and institutions from Bangladesh, China and India 2009-2012. He was awarded with Top Research Scientists Malaysia (TRSM) by Academic of Science Malaysia (ASM), 2013; Malaysia Rising Star Award by Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia in 2015 and nominated as Selected as a World Top 2% Scientists (Career-Long Citation Indexed), Stanford University, USA for years 2019, 2020 and 2021. He is currently Editor in Chief of Pertanika Journal of Science and Technology (UPM), Editorial Member of Journal of Chemistry (Hindawi) , Processes (MDPI) and Section Editor for Academic Science Malaysia Science Journal (ASM).

Dr. Abderrazzaq Ifis

Profile
Dr. Abderrazzaq Ifis is AT&S Malaysia Engineering Director. Before moving to AT&S Kulim, he has worked within the different Technology Development Departments at AT&S for over 8 years in both Austria and China, focusing on Miniaturization and Modularization activities. Hence, he has developed strong knowledge in the high-end IC Substrates that is the core of the production at AT&S Malaysia plant in Kulim. Before joining AT&S, Dr. Ifis worked for 4 years in Research and Developments in France where he completed his PhD in Materials Science from Lorraine University, focusing on the thermomechanical modeling of thin layers using a combination of Extended Finite Elements Computing and Connected Asymptotic Expansions. Abderrazzaq and his family have been relocated to Malaysia in 2022, seeking not only career development but also exploring life in a joyful, rich and diversified culture and environment here.

Prof. Dr. Valentina E. Balas

Profile
Professor Dr. Valentina E. Balas is currently a Full Professor in the Department of Automatics and Applied Software at the Faculty of Engineering, “Aurel Vlaicu” University of Arad, Romania. She holds a Ph.D. Cum Laude, in Applied Electronics and Telecommunications from Polytechnic University of Timisoara. Dr. Balas is author of more than 400 research papers in refereed journals and International Conferences. Her research interests are in Intelligent Systems, Fuzzy Control, Soft Computing, Smart Sensors, Information Fusion, Modeling and Simulation. She is the Editor-in Chief to International Journal of Advanced Intelligence Paradigms (IJAIP) and to International Journal of Computational Systems Engineering (IJCSysE), member in Editorial Board member of several national and international journals and is evaluator expert for national, international projects and PhD Thesis. Dr. Balas is the director of Intelligent Systems Research Centre in Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad and Director of the Department of International Relations, Programs and Projects in the same university. She served as General Chair of the International Workshop Soft Computing and Applications (SOFA) in nine editions organized in the interval 2005-2020 and held in Romania and Hungary. Dr. Balas participated in many international conferences as Organizer, Honorary Chair, Session Chair, member in Steering, Advisory or International Program Committees and Keynote Speaker.
